Anyone who has witnessed the Sound Explosion live frenzy experience, can testify that they managed to capture their ferocity on record. This is a true masterpiece, with every single track being top notch with some stellar performances, making it essential for any Garage record collection. The 12 string Vox guitar is at turns fuzzy and jangly, the Farfisa is everywhere, the bass is pummeling, the drums are pounding and the vocals are snotty but melodic, with some blood curdling screams added for good measure. Every strain of Garage music is included, be it 66 US Punk, Moody FolkPunk, Surf, GreekBeat, Acid Punk, all blended with the Sound Explosion's inimitable style, resulting in one perfect starter to the genre. If you buy only one volume from the whole "Teen Trash" series, then definitely this is the one.
